Today's read... Reindeer in Here by Adam Reed

I'm excited about today's read because it includes a very, cute deer. Yep, I'm a sucker for gimmicks (although I tend to look more than buy). But I know so many young readers, who would love to cuddle with the same deer as is presented in a story. Now, let's see of this set is as adorable as I'd hoped.

MY TIDBITS

The North Pole gains a new member in the form of a reindeer, who has two, differently sized antlers, but then, there are many reindeer, which are different in their own ways. Just like kids. Santa runs into troubles, since a number of kids don't send their Christmas wishes to him. So, he's not sure what their wishes are. This little reindeer realizes that the wishes are different from kid to kids and comes up with a plan to help. And that's where the stuffed reindeer inside of this set comes into play.

This set arrives in a nice box, which introduces the book and cover on the front while leaving the rest to look like a wooden container harboring a live animal inside. It flaps open on the side, which is held into place with a little velcro. Inside the box, the book is placed on the left (held in place by a little cardboard) and the reindeer is on the right. The reindeer holds a distinct, individual appearance, is soft, and sized just right for small cuddles and carrying around.

The book is well done with bright illustrations, which will catch the eye. The story is written in rhyme, usually flowing well, and tells a cute tale of how this reindeer helps Santa and ends up in the reader's home. The story not only carries the message that everyone is different in their own way, but also gives the background of the reindeer to make the stuffed one included a little more special.

It's a cute present for young readers at Christmas time, which is sure to put a smile on the face.

And here they are...

Although never intending to be an author, Adam Reed has always been a storyteller. When not being a dad, he is CEO of Los Angeles-based, Emmy-nominated production company, Thinkfactory Media, one of the most prolific scripted and unscripted production companies in the business. He has created and produced over 1,000 hours of television. He was the youngest producer ever to be listed in the Hollywood Reporter’s exclusive Reality TV Power List. Adam also continues to direct TV commercials and collaborate with some of the leading advertising agencies in the world. Adam lives in Brentwood, Tennessee, with his wife and two children—who all his books are dedicated to.

Xindi Yan left behind a small city in China to realize her dream of being a published artist. Having always wanted to illustrate children’s books, she buried herself in countless books and drawings, collecting them even today. Xindi currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband and dreams about having a puppy in the near future.
