This is a new category this year! While I've been stuffing these together with middle grade reads, they really deserve to be in a level of their own. These books are for readers, who are working their way up to the longer middle grade reads but still aren't quite ready yet (typically, ages 6 to 9). They usually have a slightly, larger font, plenty of illustrations, and work on building those reading skills.
Like with my other lists, just click on the cover and it will take you to the correlating post. My very most favorites are portrayed a bit larger than the rest and are in the running for a 'Favorites of 2024' position.
