MY TIDBITS

With the cute, soft animal heads sticking through the cover of the books, this is a series which grabs attention and begs to be touched.

The small size invites not only as a book but as a toy. The pages are robust and fit nicely into smaller hands, inviting to play. And that's exactly what these finger puppets offer. While the book runs through a quick version of what each animal does (or might do) during the day, the finger puppet allows the animal to come to life and join right in with the text. The puppet's neck is long enough to allow the head to turn different directions and fits even larger, adult sized fingers nicely. The construction is pretty sturdy, guaranteeing hours of reading fun.

These books are a story about the animal in so much as a fun look at what the animals eat, some of their habits, and, lastly, how they might sleep. The text is short and easy enough for younger readers to understand. The illustrations are bright and allow the finger puppet to fit right in.

My kids and I enjoy them, and love the added play/read fun. That the animals are cute, adds a little bonus too.
