This is a book packed with only one thing--fun.

While picture books often try to bring across a message, this one remains in imagination. A little girl has an imaginary friend, and not just any friend. Hers is an elephant. He's big, he's gray, and accompanies her everywhere she goes. No adventure is too small, and the little girl is always left with a smile on her face.

The writing is just right for young listeners, only four rhymed lines per illustration. There's never a boring moment as the little girl and her elephant explore everything they can. Many situations were so cute and funny that my daughter and I both couldn't help but giggling.

The illustrations are bright. . .as one can probably guess by the lovely, yellow over. They accompany the written story nicely, adding just the right touch when needed. Kids will enjoy flipping through them even when someone isn't immediately at hand to read the words.

Summed up, I and my daughter really enjoyed this book. It's simple, colorful and has only the purpose of showing how fun this little girl's life is with her elephant friend. I'm sure kids will love this one.
