Brooklyn's Picture Day Struggle is a comical yet totally relatable story about the chaos of finding the perfect picture day outfit.

Because picture day isn't just a photo-it's a moment.

MY TIDBITS

Normal, picture day nerves hit these pages with fun familiarity.

It's picture day at school. Brooklyn is very excited and wants to make sure her photos come out just right. That means she needs to wear the perfect outfit...but which one? From PJs to diva dresses to baggy sweatshirts and more, she shovels through her closet, trying on all sorts of various looks. She likes each and every one, which makes it impossible to decide.

This is a short, sweet, and energetic tale, which will have listeners nodding as they recognize the situation. But it's Brooklyn's never-dying, positive attitude which draws smiles. Her outfits range across the board as she switches from one into the next. It's like a fashion show with style...and had me wishing this would come with a paper doll set. Which also means the book does it's job. It's hard not to want to head to the closet and go through outfits, too, or wonder what she should wear.

The positive attitude and energy hold all the way through to make this a book full of goodness. Even when the photographer, finally, snaps the photo, Brooklyn is all smiles and happy with the result. This is where the main message hits as the photo only shows a person from shoulders up. And it's an important point. It happens very quickly and could have used a couple more pages or so to round it off with more time to let the idea sink in a little. But so, it's a cute read with a situation many listeners will be able to identify with...and maybe, want to raid their own closets afterwards to try on things for fun.
